This is so wonderfully anachronistic it's worth picking up for that alone. However, not only does this sound like it belongs in the '80's, it's done so well that that, if it had been released about 15 years ago, it would have knocked Culture Club and Duran Duran off the charts without too much contest.

David Wayne's timing, technical skill, and sincerity in these pieces all ring true - the only real complaint I have about this disc is that it feels much shorter than it actually is, and by the time I really get into it, the CD is already over.
