Album Cover Trans Am - Futureworld (Thrill Jockey Records)

Another completely unexpected turn of musical events from those sexy boys of Trans Am-who would have guessed? 1980's paraplegic voice modulators and lyrics (and sweet/sad ones at that). These guys must give William Gibson a woody, they're so ice-calm and spooky and oh-so-technical. This is the future as predicted by the same people who set Star Trek in the 21st century, not exactly where we're headed, but an interesting idea, nonetheless (and yes, I know exactly where society is headed, but if I tell you, I'll have to kill you).

My boyfriend doesn't like this new Trans Am vision, but I love it. We're splitting up and I'm running away with the band. Not really, but it is a point of contention, this disagreement about the album. I saw them play live and my ears hurt for days afterwards. The end.
